Just
when I thought everything was going great,
There
was a change in fate.
Everyone
says senior year is the best,
But
for me it was far from the rest.
The
first week filled me up with stress,
Bombarding
me with a self test.
Can
I handle this?
Life
threw me a curve ball
To
see if I can recover from the fall.
Sure
enough I made it through
The
drama I believed would never come true.
The
lies that stood in the way
Distracted
me from my extremely busy days.
My
main concern was trying to fix things
Like
there was some magical tool.
But
I was just a fool.
I
soon learned what was really important.
Although
I was hesitant
I
let it go, ignored the negative,
And
went with the flow.
Can
I handle this?
Is
that even a question?
Did
I mention..?
I
made it through
Without
a clue.
Senior
year is supposed to be the best.
So
now I juggle one less mess, you.
Wow Mackenzie, it seriously feels like a famous poet wrote this. This is amazing and I feel like every teenage girl can relate to a situation like this. Great poem Mack!!
ReplyDeleteI understand where you are coming from considering my senior year has been nothing but stressful and busy! So do not worry because I can relate! Your last stanza was by far my favorite!!
